JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Production Operatives in Horwich, BL6.

Job Purpose

To support the efficient manufacture and assembly of engineering products by carrying out production, drilling, waxing/oiling, and assembly operations while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate production equipment and hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Carry out drilling and preparation of components to engineering specifications.
  • Apply wax, oil, and other protective finishes to products as required.
  • Perform general production assembly duties in line with work instructions and quality standards.
  • Inspect components and finished products to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Report defects, equipment issues, or production concerns to supervisors.
  • Assist with packing, labelling, and movement of finished goods when required.
  • Undertake other production and manufacturing duties as reasonably requested.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or engineering environment preferred.
  • Ability to use hand tools and basic workshop equipment.
  • Good attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work from production schedules.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work.
