Our highly successful client, based in Preston, is a global manufacturer and supplier of specialist technical equipment, serving customers in over 40 countries worldwide. The UK division provides a comprehensive service to clients across the UK, Europe, and international markets. We are currently seeking a Technical Product Engineer to join their Product Team. This office-based role in Preston will involve close collaboration with internal departments, customers, and the UK and European Business Development teams, supporting product development and delivering technical expertise across the business.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Preparing and managing projects from cradle to grave
- Communicating with stakeholders during new product launch
- Using technical knowledge to develop products
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure deadlines are met
- Working closely with Sales and Marketing to get product to market
- Reporting on progress to Senior Management regularly
- Take ownership of projects and apply pressure to others when needed
- Support our Sales Team with day-to-day cataloguing, application and quality issues
There will be some travel involved with the role on occasions and representing the client at European and UK Tradeshows.
Skills & Experience:
- Degree or HND educated in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechatronics engineering
- Experience with project/product managing/co-ordinating preferred; however, if you have recently qualified and gained some work experience and are now looking for a fantastic opportunity, we would consider your application.
