JDR Recruitment are recruiting a legal secretary for our client in Preston PR1.

Location: Preston PR1

Salary: £24,000 per annum

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. We are also considering part time applicants for this position.

Contract type: Permanent

The Role

  • Providing full secretarial support to solicitors and other fee earners.
  • Scanning incoming post, saving to relevant case folders and emailing the same to the fee earners.
  • Serve as front of house, answering phone calls and providing brief updates to agents etc.
  • Creating quotes on the online quote portal.
  • Opening, maintaining, and closing client files in accordance with firm procedures.
  • Onboarding clients using e-cos and following electronic ID checks.
  • Inputting Memorandum of Sale data received from Estate Agents onto case management system.
  • Ordering searches.
  • Issuing mortgage offers to clients.
  • Supporting the wider team with general administrative duties as needed.

Experience / Skills Required

  • Strong typing and document production skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and legal case management system.
  • Professional, discreet, and client-focused approach.
