PPT Drivers / Checkers Needed

Location: Heywood, OL10

Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off, 7pm-7am (includes weekends)

Pay Rate: £13.46 per hour + up to £46 per week shift bonus (if all shifts attended). Overtime paid at time and a half.

Responsibilities

  • Operate material handling equipment, including Powered Pump Trucks (PPTs), to assist with loading and unloading customer orders and general warehouse movement.
  • Ensure that all goods are labelled correctly and stored according to company standards.
  • Check and record materials transported to and from the site, reporting and recording any discrepancies or damages.
  • Weigh or count items for distribution within the plant to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Enter data into the Warehouse Management System, ensuring accuracy.
  • Handball items off lorries, lifting up to a maximum of 25 kg.
  • Work in a cold environment – approximately -25°C – with full PPE provided.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment; operating MHE such as PPTs or FLTs is preferred.
  • Experience with loading and unloading using material handling equipment such as power pallet trucks.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 kg without problems.
  • IT literacy and experience with Warehouse Management Systems; excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Experience operating a PPT or other MHE equipment is a plus; training will be provided.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a temperature controlled, chilled environment (approximately -25°C).
  • Full PPE provided.
  • Heavy lifting up to 25 kg may be required.
  • The role requires operating machinery within a cold environment.
