We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Accounts Assistant to join a small, friendly Accounts team based in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking for a consistent, part-time role in a supportive environment.

This is a Fixed Term Contract: Until January 2027 but this will be reviewed for potential extensions.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will support the finance team in ensuring day-to-day activities are completed accurately and on time. Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing supplier invoices
  • Supplier statement reconciliations and allocations
  • Posting and reconciling customer receipts on a daily basis
  • Maintaining and reconciling the daily cashbook
  • Ensuring accurate and timely filing of financial records
  • Providing support across purchase ledger and credit control as required
  • Assisting with finance improvement projects and ad hoc tasks

About You

We're looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a hands-on finance role. You will ideally have:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar accounts role
  • Previous experience working in a temporary finance position (desirable)
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Good numeracy skills
  • AAT qualification or currently studying (or equivalent)

Working Hours

20 hours per week, Monday to Friday | 4 hours each day (AM). Start time between 8:00am - 9:30am (consistent daily start time preferred).

Location: Manchester, M4 | 100% office-based.
