JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Production Operatives in Oldham.
The Production Operative is responsible for supporting the manufacturing of high-quality bedding and textile products. This includes operating machinery, assembling products, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring efficient workflow within the production area.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
- Assemble homeware products to required specifications
- Monitor product quality and report any defects or issues
- Pack finished goods accurately for dispatch
- Follow production schedules to meet daily targets
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Carry out routine checks on machinery and report faults
- Follow company health & safety procedures and guidelines at all times
- Assist with stock handling and materials movement within the production area
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a manufacturing/production environment
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow instructions and work to standard operating procedures
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Capable of lifting and handling materials where required
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
Working Hours
- Monday - Thursday 2pm-11pm & Friday 1pm-4pm
- Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm & Friday 7:30am - 11am
- NO ROTATION - FIXED SHIFTS
- Overtime may be required during peak production periods
