JDR is recruiting on behalf of a valued client for an experienced and highly skilled Vehicle Mechanic based in Newport, Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanic who thrives on precision, enjoys solving complex mechanical issues, and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer satisfaction.
As a Vehicle Mechanic, you will play a key role in diagnosing and resolving advanced vehicle faults while ensuring all work meets manufacturer standards. You will be responsible for:
- Carrying out major mechanical repairs, including engine and gearbox replacements
- Performing root cause analysis and ensuring all repairs meet manufacturer standards
- Accurately documenting all work for warranty claims and compliance
- Supporting MOT testing and Pre-Delivery Inspections when required
- Maintaining high workshop standards, ensuring compliance with DVSA and Health & Safety regulations
Requirements:
- IMI Level 3 (or equivalent) qualified
- Proven experience in advanced vehicle diagnostics and repairs within the automotive industry
- MOT testing qualification (or willingness to support in this area)
