JDR Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of one of our valued clients for a Transport & Weighbridge Supervisor to join a busy and well-established operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in transport, logistics, weighbridge operations, or yard administration who is looking for a long-term, full-time position.

Salary

  • £14.50 per hour
  • Weekly pay every Friday

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • 7:00am - 5:00pm
  • Full-time, permanent opportunity following a successful probation period.

The Role

As the Transport & Weighbridge Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the site's inbound and outbound vehicle movements while supporting the wider logistics operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating the site weighbridge for inbound and outbound vehicles.
  • Coordinating goods in and goods out.
  • Managing transport paperwork and delivery documentation.
  • Liaising with drivers, customers and transport providers.
  • Maintaining accurate records and producing reports.
  • Completing daily operational and compliance checks.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety procedures.
  • Monitoring PPE compliance and site safety standards.
  • Managing site visitors and contractor sign-in procedures.
  • Supporting production and logistics planning.
  • Assisting with stock, batching and inventory administration.
  • Completing quality and export documentation where required.
  • Supporting the training and onboarding of new team members.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience within transport, logistics, weighbridge, warehouse administration or yard operations.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of health & safety procedures within an industrial environment is advantageous.
