Key Responsibilities
- Parcel Handling & Sorting
- Unload incoming vehicles and trailers safely.
- Sort parcels by postcode, route, or destination using manual and automated systems.
- Load outbound vehicles with sorted parcels in the correct order.
- Handle parcels of various sizes and weights (up to 20-25kg).
- Scanning & Data Accuracy
- Use handheld scanners to process parcels.
- Ensure accurate barcode scanning and parcel routing.
- Report any scanning errors, damaged parcels, or discrepancies.
- Warehouse Duties
- Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe.
- Follow site rules on parcel stacking, conveyor usage, and equipment.
- Assist colleagues when needed to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Compliance & Safety
- Follow all DHL health & safety guidelines.
- Use PPE when required.
- Report hazards, near misses, and equipment issues immediately.
