Key Responsibilities

  • Parcel Handling & Sorting
    • Unload incoming vehicles and trailers safely.
    • Sort parcels by postcode, route, or destination using manual and automated systems.
    • Load outbound vehicles with sorted parcels in the correct order.
    • Handle parcels of various sizes and weights (up to 20-25kg).
  • Scanning & Data Accuracy
    • Use handheld scanners to process parcels.
    • Ensure accurate barcode scanning and parcel routing.
    • Report any scanning errors, damaged parcels, or discrepancies.
  • Warehouse Duties
    • Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe.
    • Follow site rules on parcel stacking, conveyor usage, and equipment.
    • Assist colleagues when needed to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Compliance & Safety
    • Follow all DHL health & safety guidelines.
    • Use PPE when required.
    • Report hazards, near misses, and equipment issues immediately.

    • Ability to lift and move heavy parcels safely.
    • Good level of physical fitness.
    • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
    • Basic literacy and numeracy skills for sorting and scanning.
    • Reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic.

    • Previous warehouse or parcel sorting experience.
    • Experience using handheld scanners or working with conveyor belts.
    • Knowledge of health & safety procedures in a logistics environment.
