What you’ll be doing:
In this senior advisory role, you’ll act as a key HR partner to managers and employees across the organisation. Your work will include:
- Providing practical, confident HR advice on performance, absence, conduct, and wider employee relations matters
- Managing complex employee relations cases from start to finish, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes
- Coaching managers to develop their people management skills and build high-performing teams
- Supporting the development and implementation of HR policies, processes, and practices that improve the employee experience
- Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, induction, and wider employee lifecycle activities
- Using HR data to spot trends, identify risks, and recommend improvements
- Ensuring HR operations are accurate, compliant, and run smoothly
- Contributing to HR projects that strengthen workforce capability and support organisational change
What will help you succeed:
You’re likely to thrive in this role if you bring:
- Strong, hands-on experience in HR advisory work, particularly employee relations
- Confidence managing complex and sensitive cases with discretion and sound judgement
- The ability to coach and influence managers at different levels
- A genuine interest in organisational development and improving how people experience work
- A collaborative, approachable style and strong relationship-building skills
- Experience within manufacturing or a similar operational environment
- Experience improving or implementing HR policies or processes
- Confidence using HRIS platforms and HR data to inform decisions
- A strong commitment to compliance and best practice
Qualifications:
- CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience) - essential
- CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent), or working towards - desirable but not essential
