Job Type: Temp to Perm

Hourly Rate: £20.50 per hour (Monday to Friday) / £41 per hour (weekends)

Working hours: Monday to Friday rotating shift 6-14 / 14-22 / 14-22 or Weekends rotating shift 6-14 / 14-22 / 14-22

About the role: We are seeking a machine operative to join a well-known plastic manufacturer based in Aylesford. In this role, you will be responsible for packing and quality checking products, working along on the production line and handling various materials as well as operating injection moulding machines. If you have experience working in a similar role and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and operate injection moulding machines and nailers to required cycle times
  • Carry out efficient tool changes to minimise downtime
  • Monitor product quality and resolve processing/tooling issues
  • Maintain stock levels of raw materials (PP, masterbatch, nails)
  • Support packing operations and respond to machine breakdowns
  • Ensure shop floor standards are maintained in line with 5S
  • Complete safety, QC, and production documentation
  • Support and train Production Shift Assistants
  • Cover Lead Technician duties when required

Skills & Requirements:

  • The successful candidate must have proven experience processing injection moulding machines. This is not a trainee position, so you must be fully competent and qualified in machine processing and tool changes.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety standards
  • Forklift truck licence (or willing to obtain)
  • Organised, quality-focused, and able to work under pressure
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong problem-solving skills
