We are working with a manufacturing business seeking a Reliability Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer who wants to move beyond reactive maintenance into a more proactive, reliability-focused role, helping drive equipment performance, reduce downtime, and support continuous improvement across the site.
The Role:
- Carrying out fault finding and repairs on production equipment
- Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and supporting breakdown response
- Identifying and implementing improvements to reduce repeat failures
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site
- Using CMMS systems to manage maintenance activities and track performance
- Working closely with production, engineering, and support teams
- Assisting with spares identification and inventory control
- Supporting and mentoring apprentices where required
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety and housekeeping
The Candidate:
- A time-served apprenticeship or equivalent in an engineering discipline
- Multi-skilled experience (mechanical & electrical)
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience using CMMS / maintenance systems
- Knowledge of PPM and reliability-based maintenance approaches
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on long-term solutions
