JDR Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Operator to work at an Engineering company based in Bolton.
Summary: Operate press brake machinery to manufacture metal components by bending and forming sheet metal to required dimensions, quality standards, and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
- Select appropriate tooling, dies, and machine settings.
- Measure and inspect finished parts using gauges, callipers, and other measuring tools.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and accuracy.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and company policies.
- Record production data and report any equipment or quality issues.
Required Skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
- Basic knowledge of metal fabrication and forming processes.
- Experience using measuring instruments such as callipers and micrometres.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.

Working hours: 7:30am-16:30pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am-13:30pm Friday. Temporary to Permanent after 12 weeks.
