JDR Recruitment are recruiting for a Goods In Operative with a Counterbalance FLT licence. The Goods In Operative is responsible for the efficient receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming goods within the warehouse. The role requires the safe operation of a counterbalance forklift truck (FLT) and ensuring all deliveries are checked, recorded, and stored accurately in line with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload deliveries using a counterbalance forklift truck
- Check incoming goods against delivery notes and purchase orders
- Inspect products for damage or discrepancies and report any issues
- Accurately book in stock using warehouse systems or paperwork
- Store goods in designated warehouse locations safely and efficiently
- Maintain stock accuracy and assist with stock counts when required
- Ensure all goods are labelled and organised correctly
- Work closely with warehouse and procurement teams regarding deliveries
- Follow all health & safety procedures, including FLT safety protocols
- Keep the goods-in area clean, tidy, and hazard-free
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Valid FLT Counterbalance Licence (in-date)
- Previous experience in a warehouse or goods-in role
- Ability to safely operate a forklift in a busy environment
- Good attention to detail and accuracy when checking goods
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
