About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Draughtsperson to join a well-established and reputable company within the construction and steel fabrication sector. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with structural steel experience looking to develop their career within a growing and forward-thinking technical team. You will be responsible for producing high-quality drawings and 3D models for a range of steel structures and portal frame buildings, while supporting the wider project and fabrication teams to ensure smooth delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate general arrangement and fabrication drawings for steel-framed buildings
- Model structural steelwork using CAD and 3D software (e.g. AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, Advance Steel)
- Prepare layout drawings, connection details, and fabrication packages
- Work closely with engineers, project managers, and the fabrication team
- Ensure drawings comply with industry standards and client specifications
- Communicate with architects, clients, and site teams where required
- Support continuous improvement of drawing processes
