We're looking for a proactive and hands-on Facilities Team Leader, based at our client in YATTON to oversee the day-to-day maintenance and smooth running of our site. This role combines leadership with practical skills, requiring someone who can manage a small team while also getting involved in maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing and supporting electrical work.
The has a large car park, but is also accessible by public transport from both Weston-super-Mare and Bristol.
Location: Yatton
Hours: 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday
Salary: £13.12 per hour at first, rising after probation period and taking on the Supervisor responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and support the facilities team to ensure high standards of service delivery
- Plan and prioritise maintenance schedules, both reactive and preventive
- Carry out hands-on maintenance tasks, including:
- Basic plumbing repairs (e.g. leaks, blockages, fixture replacements)
- General building maintenance (carpentry, painting, minor repairs)
- Support and oversee minor electrical works (e.g. replacing fittings, fault identification), ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations and company policies
Skills & Experience
- Strong practical skills, particularly in:
- Basic plumbing (essential)
- Electrical knowledge (desirable, not necessarily qualified electrician level)
- Good understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to liaise with internal teams and external contractors
- Flexible, hands-on approach with a willingness to get involved
Qualifications (Desirable)
- Relevant trade qualification (e.g. plumbing)
