We are currently recruiting for an experienced Bodyshop Technician to join a busy automotive business based in Bury. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with vehicle repair and refurbishment experience looking to secure a permanent position following a successful 12-week temporary period.
You will be responsible for restoring vehicles to a high standard, ensuring they are prepared for customer collection and resale. Working within a fast-paced workshop environment, you'll carry out a range of cosmetic and body repairs while maintaining excellent quality standards.
Duties Include:
- Carrying out minor bodywork repairs on cars and light vehicles
- Repairing scratches, dents, scuffs and paint damage
- Alloy wheel refurbishment and touch-up work
- Preparing panels and vehicles for painting
- Completing vehicle cosmetic repairs to a high standard
- Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and within agreed timescales
- Supporting workshop improvements and maintaining a clean, safe working area
- Conducting quality checks before vehicles leave the workshop
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience within a bodyshop, SMART repair or vehicle refurbishment environment
- Good knowledge of automotive repair techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to work in a busy workshop environment and meet deadlines
- Awareness of health and safety procedures
