JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Warehouse Cleaners to work at a large distribution centre based in Bedford, MK42.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean warehouse floors using sweepers, scrubber-dryers, and other cleaning equipment.
- Remove waste, cardboard, plastic, and other recyclable materials from designated areas.
- Empty bins and ensure waste is disposed of correctly.
- Clean welfare facilities including canteens, kitchens, toilets, changing rooms, and offices.
- Maintain cleanliness of loading bays, walkways, stairwells, and warehouse racking areas.
- Replenish consumables such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.
- Report maintenance issues, spillages, hazards, or damaged equipment to management.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to COSHH regulations.
- Support deep cleaning activities and special cleaning projects when required.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained and stored correctly.
- Work alongside warehouse teams to minimise disruption to operations.
Skills and Experience
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Able to follow health and safety instructions.
- Physically fit and capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced distribution centre environment.
- May involve early mornings, evenings, nights, or weekend shifts.
- Regular walking, lifting, bending, and prolonged periods of standing.
- Use of PPE including safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, gloves, and eye protection where required.
We have the following shifts available:
Saturday & Sunday 6am-6pm
Saturday 7 Sunday 6pm-6am
Monday - Friday 7am-3pm
The Pay Rates are as follows:
Days: £12.71 per hour
Nights: £13.71 per hour
