JDR Recruitment is recruiting for Warehouse Cleaners to work at a large distribution site, based in Basildon.
Job Purpose
To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic warehouse environment by carrying out routine cleaning tasks and supporting general housekeeping duties to meet health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and clean warehouse floors, aisles, and work areas
- Remove waste, debris, and packaging materials from designated areas
- Clean and sanitise equipment, surfaces, and communal areas (e.g., break rooms, toilets)
- Empty bins and ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling materials
- Report hazards, spills, or maintenance issues to supervisors
- Assist with deep cleaning tasks as required
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and responsibly
- Support general warehouse housekeeping to maintain an organised environment
Key Skills and Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
- Physical fitness (role may involve lifting, bending, and standing for long periods)
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
