JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Contract Kitchen Designers on behalf of our client.

Location: Barton-upon-Humber

Salary: £31,500 + annual bonus

Hours of Work: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Contract Type: Permanent

The Role

We are currently recruiting for multiple Contract Kitchen Designers to join a growing and dynamic team. This is an office-based role, working within a well-established business delivering projects across developers, house builders, and the social housing sector.

As a Contract Kitchen Designer, you will support both new and existing projects, including handling revisions and technical enquiries. You will be responsible for designing and producing detailed kitchen layouts, ensuring they meet customer requirements and generate accurate cost estimates.

The role will involve analysing project plans and Bills of Quantities (BOQs), compiling and submitting design approval packs, and ensuring all designs comply with relevant regulations and standards. You will manage design changes throughout the project lifecycle, including associated cost adjustments.

You will work closely with internal teams including sales, production, and project control, as well as liaising with site managers and clients. Participation in design review meetings and providing technical support to colleagues will also form part of the role. Maintaining accurate drawings and pricing data will be key to ensuring project success.

Experience / Skills Required

  • Previous experience within kitchen design (contracts, retail, or general design)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Articad, Compusoft Winner, Fusion 2020, SketchUp, Archicad, or similar (preferred but not essential)
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and kitchen drawings
  • Strong attention to detail with a good understanding of kitchen planning, installation, and regulations
  • Experience producing high volumes of designs and/or estimating
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Creative with a strong technical mindset
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience within a design role is required for this role
