JDR Recruitment are delighted to be working on behalf of our client, a well-established business based in Tullos, Aberdeen, who are looking to appoint an experienced Accounts & Finance Supervisor to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys being involved in all aspects of the finance function and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of finance operations while helping to improve processes and reporting across the business.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Managing daily finance administration using Xero
- Maintaining accurate sales and purchase ledgers
- Processing customer invoices, supplier invoices, payments and banking transactions
- Completing bank, credit card and control account reconciliations
- Supporting credit control activities, including monitoring overdue accounts and outstanding balances
- Assisting with month-end and quarter-end procedures, including journals, accruals and prepayments
- Producing management information and supporting financial reporting requirements
- Responding promptly and professionally to customer and supplier queries
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting systems
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strong hands-on experience using Xero (essential)
- A solid understanding of sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control and account reconciliations
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Confidence working with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- The ability to manage priorities and work to deadlines
- Previous experience in a similar finance or accounts supervisory position
