Overview
JDR is working in partnership with a well-established organisation within the construction sector to recruit an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager. Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, our client is seeking a self-motivated individual with strong leadership and organisational skills to oversee the successful delivery of multiple electrical projects. This role will involve managing projects across Northern Ireland, with occasional cross-border work in the Republic of Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality and technical standards.
Project & Contract Delivery
- Deliver multiple electrical projects simultaneously within agreed scope, programme, and budget
- Ensure all works are completed to a high technical and quality standard
- Project initiation documentation
- Project programmes and schedules
- Project budgets
Commercial & Contract Management
- Monitor financial performance across projects and ensure cost control
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Attend site and office-based meetings to review progress, challenges, and resolutions
- Provide regular reports to senior management
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory standards
- Promote and maintain high health & safety standards across all projects
- Lead and manage project teams, site managers, and subcontractors
- Coordinate resources effectively to meet project deadlines
- Drive performance and ensure successful project outcomes
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years' experience as an Electrical Contracts Manager
- Experience delivering multiple electrical projects
- Experience within an M&E or electrical contracting environment
- Electrical qualification preferred (e.g. NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent)
- Strong leadership and team management ability
- Commercial awareness with experience in budgeting and cost control
- Solid understanding of electrical systems and installations
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office
- Based in Belfast office with regular site visits required
- Projects primarily across Northern Ireland with some travel to ROI
- Full UK driving licence required
