JDR Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join their team in Newport. This is an excellent opportunity to manage, maintain, and install fire alarm systems across multiple sites. The role will involve minor travel between sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, and maintain fire alarm systems across commercial and industrial sites as well as data centres.
  • Ensure all work meets current legislation, codes of practice, and internal standards.
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and fault diagnosis on fire alarm systems.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate works.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all service and installation work.
  • Monitor project timelines, resources, and compliance standards.
  • Provide expert advice on fire alarm systems, equipment, and procedures.
  • Ensure health & safety compliance is maintained across all projects.
  • Travel to sites as required (minor travel).

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm regulations, compliance standards, and testing procedures.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions confidently.
  • Relevant fire alarm, electrical, or technical qualifications desirable.
