JDR Recruitment (Mansfield) are working in partnership with a leading retailer based in Newark to recruit for a number of 7.5 Tonne Delivery Drivers to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering white goods such as washing machines, fridges, cookers, and dishwashers directly to customers' homes.
- Safely drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle to complete scheduled home deliveries
- Work as part of a two-person delivery team when required
- Provide excellent customer service at every delivery
- Handle goods carefully to prevent damage during loading, transport, and delivery
Valid Category C1 (7.5T) driving licence - max 6 points, no D10
Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card - new passes are accepted provided some commercial driving experience has been undertaken
Previous experience in multi-drop or home delivery (preferred but not essential)
This role is also subject to a pre-employment criminal record check which will be carried out prior to the assignment and all candidates are required to disclose any criminal convictions beforehand. A drug and alcohol test will also be carried out during the driving assessment.
Shift Pattern
The Company offers a rota to all colleagues, providing them with consistent shifts. The shift pattern is a 5 on, 3 off shift rota. Only candidates able to commit to a 5 on, 3 off shift pattern should apply.
Shifts start at 7am and typically last between 8-10 hours, depending on routing, traffic, etc.
This role pays £13.60 per hour, paid weekly in arrears. Overtime is paid at time and a half for all hours worked after 45 hours per week, with regular overtime available.
Immediate start and induction available. The induction is paid, following completion of your first shift.
