Are you an experienced candidate across complex claims? Do you have experience of dealing with home drainage / subsidence claims? JDR are currently supporting one of our key clients in Oldham and this could be the perfect role for you!
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage technical and complex claims across all products from initial notification through to final settlement.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing technical advice and oversight on complex claims matters.
- Support operational leadership with guidance on coverage interpretation, liability assessment, and claims resolution strategies.
- Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to Claims Team members on technical and complex claims issues.
- Review and interpret site-specific data, images, and reports to assess policy liability and approve or amend scopes of work.
- Work collaboratively with contractors to resolve practical and technical claims-related issues.
- Ensure all claims decisions comply with relevant legislation, policy terms, and industry best practices.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and timely reports for submission to insurers regarding policy liability and claim outcomes.
- Assist contractors by providing claim-related information to ensure compliance with company standards and requirements.
- Liaise with approved contractors and clients to ensure service level agreements and KPIs are consistently met.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in claims processes and procedures.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests from the Management Team within agreed timeframes.
Key Skills / Experiences:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar technical or complex claims role
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-value, technical claims up to £100,000
- Cert CII qualification (or equivalent) preferred
- Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation, insurance protocols, and industry best practices, particularly within drainage claims
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Highly organised and detail-focused, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Numerate and methodical, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Self-motivated professional with a positive, proactive, and solutions-driven approach
