JDR Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Car Mechanic to join our clients team permanently based in Newport. Our client is a busy and reputable automotive workshop providing high-quality servicing, repairs, and diagnostics for a wide range of vehicles. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled and reliable Car Mechanic to join their team.
You will be responsible for:
- Diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and completing routine maintenance to ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and meet manufacturer standards.
- Performing servicing, repairs, and maintenance on cars and light vehicles.
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools.
- Carrying out inspections and safety checks.
- Replacing parts such as brakes, clutches, suspension, engines, and exhaust systems, timing belt/chain changes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a mechanic/automotive technician.
- Full driving licence.
- MOT licence (desirable but not essential).
