JDR Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Car Mechanic to join our client's team permanently based in Newport. Our client is a busy and reputable automotive workshop providing high-quality servicing, repairs, and diagnostics for a wide range of vehicles. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled and reliable Car Mechanic to join their team.

You will be responsible for:

  • Diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and completing routine maintenance to ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and meet manufacturer standards.
  • Performing servicing, repairs, and maintenance on cars and light vehicles.
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools.
  • Carrying out inspections and safety checks.
  • Replacing parts such as brakes, clutches, suspension, engines, and exhaust systems, timing belt/chain changes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a mechanic/automotive technician.
  • Full driving licence.
  • MOT licence (desirable but not essential).
