Location: Barton-upon-Humber
Salary: Up to £43,000 + bonus
Hours of Work: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

The Role:
We are currently recruiting for a Credit Control Manager to join a growing and dynamic business. This is a fully office-based role, offering the opportunity to lead and develop a credit control function across Contracts, Trade, and Retail operations. The primary focus of the role is to maximise cash collection, protect business assets, and ensure the achievement of transactional service level agreements.
You will be responsible for managing and developing a team of 5 Credit Controllers, ensuring performance against KPIs and driving continuous improvement across the function. Duties will include overseeing the proactive collection of overdue invoices, conducting regular debt reviews, and escalating issues where necessary. You will manage risk through close communication with customers and internal stakeholders, including the sales team, and ensure that payment applications and invoices are issued accurately and on time.
You will also be responsible for reviewing credit limits and credit insurance, supporting query resolution, overseeing account reconciliations, and ensuring accurate maintenance of customer master data. The role will involve setting team objectives, conducting performance reviews and 1-1s, and maintaining high standards across the team.
Experience / Skills Required:
- Previous experience in a credit control role, with leadership or management responsibility
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Proven ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team
- Confident and professional communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- A minimum of 5 years of experience is required for this role
