JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Cleaners to work at a nuclear plant in Birchwood WA3.
Key
Responsibilities: Carry out cleaning duties in offices, controlled areas, restrooms, plant facilities, and other designated zones.
Ensure all work complies with site-specific nuclear safety protocols and procedures.
Use approved cleaning agents and equipment safely and correctly.
Follow radiation protection guidelines where applicable, including working in controlled or supervised areas.
Safely handle, store, and dispose of cleaning chemicals and waste materials in accordance with site regulations.
Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Report hazards, incidents, or unusual findings immediately to supervisors.
Complete cleaning records and documentation as required for compliance purposes.
Support contamination control measures by following decontamination procedures when necessary.
Adhere to strict security requirements, including access control procedures.
Health & Safety Responsibilities Comply with all Health & Safety legislation and nuclear site safety rules.
Participate in safety briefings, training, and drills.
Understand and follow emergency procedures.
Minimise risk of cross-contamination in sensitive areas.
Use PPE including gloves, protective clothing, masks, and dosimeters (if required).
Skills and
Experience: Essential: Previous cleaning experience in industrial, commercial, or high-security environments.
Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
Ability to follow strict procedures and instructions.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable: Experience working in high-risk environments (e. g., nuclear, chemical, or pharmaceutical sites).
Knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
