We are looking for Slaughter Operatives £12.40-£16.46ph dependent on experience, OT after 48hrs at time and a half.
Location: Dowlais, Merthyr Tydfil
Immediate starts available.
Shift: Monday to Friday 0530/0600-finish, average 45hr week.
Temp to Perm after 12 weeks.

The role: Our client, based in Dowlais, are seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as Slaughter Operatives. This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced environment, ideal for those who take pride in maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Slaughtering, dressing and preparation of carcasses and edible offal at line speed.
- Handling and processing carcasses with care and precision.
- Supporting skilled operatives in the production process.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant workplace at all times.
- Following strict health, safety and animal welfare guidelines.
About you: As a Slaughter Operative you will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- Competence and significant experience in slaughter and/or knife skills preferred.
- Previous experience in a high volume meat processing environment.
- Commitment to good practice and quality.
- Good communication skills written and oral.
