Our client on the outskirts of Preston are seeking a Distribution Office Coordinator to join their team. We are looking for an organised and proactive candidate to support the day to day office operations and logistics activities. This full time Permanent position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the office and the efficient dispatch and tracking of goods.
Responsibilities
- Handling incoming calls, emails, and correspondence
- Coordinating the dispatch and delivery of goods ensuring appropriate documentation is completed through the inhouse systems
- Liaising with couriers, transport providers, and warehouse staff
- Monitoring delivery schedules and resolving any delays or issues
- Preparing delivery paperwork, shipping documents, and reports
- Tracking stock movements and understanding time zones
About you
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with distribution, shipping, or stock control systems is desirable
- Proven experience in an office administration and/or logistics coordination role
