Our client are a leading Truck HGV supplier and service provider who are looking for a qualified Vehicle Technician to join their established team.
Working closely with the other technician you will join a well established workforce and the company have been recognised as a Top Employer in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, repair and maintenance of HGV\βs
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on HGVs to identify mechanical issues and safety concerns
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to restore vehicles to optimal condition
- Use technical instruments such as ohmmeters to test electrical systems and ensure proper functionality
- Replace worn or damaged parts, including brakes, engines, transmissions, and suspension components
- Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including service reports and defect logs
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex issues and ensure timely completion of repairs
- Attendance on call outs
- Liaising closely with the parts department
- Completion of jobs records and all associated admin
- Liaising with clients
What they are looking for
- Fully qualified HGV Driver
- Experienced in vehicle maintenance and repair within a commercial or heavy vehicle environment
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Team Player
- Flexible on hours and willing to carry out overtime
What the Company offer β to include
Working Hours 4 days on/off β Shifts between 7 am and 7pm
