About the Role
Carry out timely repairs and maintenance of building facilities, equipment, and systems, prioritizing tasks that may impact operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine scheduled maintenance to minimize equipment failures and report any urgent repairs needed.
- Always follow safety guidelines, including risk assessments and health & safety regulations, when carrying out maintenance work.
- Contribute to improving the current maintenance schedule and help implement new systems for better asset management.
- Identify and suggest ways to improve maintenance procedures and equipment performance.
- Meet quality standards and assist with audits to ensure service levels are maintained.
- Follow company policies and assist in updating or developing new procedures when needed.
- Manage external contractors in accordance with site requirements and customer expectations.
- Help develop and follow contingency plans for equipment failures or other site-specific needs.
- Work to achieve monthly performance targets as agreed in service contracts.
- Provide support for emergency maintenance outside of normal working hours, coordinating with the on-site team and contractors.
Qualifications
- Essential: NVQ Level 2 – Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Electrical IPAF
- Knowledge of Fabrication and Welding
- Knowledge of Basic Electrical Wiring
- H&S Systems and Procedures knowledge
- Ability to utilise Microsoft Office – Inc. Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Required Skills
- HNC or NVQ Level 3 – Engineering (or equivalent)
- Electrical Inspecting & Testing
- Gas Safe
