JDR Recruitment are actively looking to recruit some HGV C+E Class 1 Drivers for a client of ours based in Glenfield, Leicestershire. Our client is a family-run parcel delivery service business with numerous years of experience in logistics. They offer transportation solutions that provide efficient and reliable services. They understand that a strong relationship with their carriers and drivers is critical in this industry.
Duties for the HGV C+E Class 1 Drivers will include:
- Trunking to distribution sites
- Trailer drop & swaps
- Shuttling between 2 sites twice per shift
- Ensure all loads are secure
- Liaise with the transport office regarding any delays or issues
- Perform daily walkaround checks & defect reporting
Shifts available are either AM or PM. All shifts are approx. 9-12 hours β can add collection if wanting more hours.
Start times vary depending on job:
- AM shifts - From 04:00am β 07:00am or 09:00am for shunting
- PM shifts - 19:00pm
Hourly rates:
- Days Β£15.00 per hour with separate holiday
- Days Β£16.81 (including holiday)
- Nights Β£16.00 per hour with separate holidays
- Nights Β£17.93 (holiday included)
The successful HGV C+E Class 1 Driver will be required to have the following:
- C+E Driving Licence with 1 yearβs minimum relevant experience
- Valid CPC card
- Valid Tacho card
- No more than 6 points on licence
- No DR or IN conviction codes
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Infringement policies are in place
