What You’ll Be Doing
As Health & Safety Manager, you’ll operate as the go‑to expert for all health and safety matters, working closely with senior leadership and site teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing, implementing and continuously improving health & safety policies and procedures
- Leading regular audits, inspections and risk assessments across sites
- Overseeing fire safety compliance, including Fire Risk Assessments
- Delivering engaging health & safety training to managers and employees
- Investigating incidents and accidents, ensuring learning and prevention are embedded
- Advising and influencing managers to elevate safety culture across the business
- Staying ahead of legislative updates and ensuring full compliance
This is a role with real autonomy and influence, reporting directly into senior management.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be an established Health & Safety professional who is confident working independently and influencing at all levels. Essential requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ recent experience in a Health & Safety Management role
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
- NEBOSH National Fire Certificate
- COSHH training
- Proven experience implementing and monitoring Fire Risk Assessments
- Strong working knowledge of UK health & safety legislation
- Confident communicator with experience delivering training and leading investigations
