We are looking for an experienced Lead Sign Fitter for our client based in Gateshead. The role will involve travel across the UK and Ireland.
About the role: You will lead on the on-site installation of a variety of signage- including illuminated signs, fascia signs, vinyl and window graphics- working from technical drawings and client specifications. You'll be the main point of contact for clients on site, carry out site surveys, and safely operate tools, access equipment and machinery, including working at height.
As lead fitter, you will also supervise and mentor a fitter's mate, allocating tasks and ensuring safe working practices are followed throughout.
Experience in sign installation, shopfitting or similar, ability to read technical drawings and measurements, strong communication, experience with power tools, and be comfortable working outdoors, and at heights. (Experience of working on Petrol stations would be preferable, but not a neccessity)
This is a permanent role from day one
£17.00 per hour (overtime at time and a half after 38 hours)
Essential Requirements -
- Full UK Driving Licence
- CSCS Card
- Flexibility to travel and work throughout the UK and Ireland, including overnight stays when required
- Flexibility to work out of hours in line with client requirements
