The role:
- Our client is a busy and reputable HGV workshop providing high-quality servicing, repairs, and diagnostics for HGVs.
- Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled and reliable HGV Mechanic to join their team.
- You will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and completing routine maintenance to ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and meet manufacturer standards.
About you:
- Perform servicing, repairs, and maintenance on HGV vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools.
- Carry out inspections and safety checks.
- Replace parts such as brakes, clutches, suspension, engines, and exhaust systems, timing belt/chain changes to possible engine rebuilds.
- Complete job cards and service documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a mechanic/automotive technician minimum 3 years.
- HGV Class 1 licence preferred.
- Relevant qualifications (NVQ/City).
