We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport coordinator to join our growing client in Chester le street.
This role is a temporary position for a minimum of 6 months to cover maternity leave, however may be more opportunities for the right candidate.
This is an immediate start.
Monday - Friday , day shift hours.
Duties Include
- Planning daily delivery routes from Bamburgh , down to Darlington and across to the Lake District.
- Ensure all shipments and Customer requirements, timelines are met
- Use platform to post loads, book transport, track shipments and manage documentation
- Resolve transport issues quickly and efficiently.
- Managing drivers work loads in line with WTD legislation
- Maintain accurate records and communicate updates to drivers and customers
Requirements
- Recent experience of working within transport planning, particularly arranging routes.
- Good geographical knowledge of the area mentioned
- Well organised, with attention to detail
- Calm under pressure
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
