JDR Recruitment are recruiting for a Forklift truck Driver in Heywood, OL10
Candidates must have a valid Counterbalance & Reach licence, refrehed within the last 3 years
Key Responsibilities
- Operate counterbalance and/or reach forklift trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload vehicles in accordance with safe working practices.
- Move stock, components and materials between warehouse and production areas.
- Put away stock into designated storage locations.
- Pick orders accurately for production and customer dispatch.
- Complete stock checks and assist with inventory control activities.
- Ensure goods received match delivery documentation.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and report defects.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Follow company health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Assist with packing, labelling and dispatch activities when required.
- Use warehouse management systems, scanners or paperwork accurately.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse operation.
Health & Safety Responsibilities
- Wear required PPE at all times.
- Adhere to site speed limits and traffic management rules.
- Report accidents, near misses and unsafe conditions immediately.
- Ensure loads are secure and transported safely.
- Follow manual handling and safe lifting procedures.
- Participate in safety training and toolbox talks.
Skills & Experience
- Valid FLT Counterbalance & Reach licence (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent).
- Must have a valid UK drivers licnece as the role involves driving the FLT over a road
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable and flexible approach to work.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills. xgikmsk
39 Hours per week - Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:30pm & Friday 8am to 3:30pm
Breaks are paid, 1 X 10 minutes & 1 X 30 minutes
£15.50 per hour
