Are you an experienced design and planning candidate across different industries? Do you have direct experience of working with CAD? JDR Recruitment are currently supporting one of our clients and this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyse plans, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and other project documentation to accurately estimate project costs.
- Produce estimates to support design delivery, ensuring that all proposals meet customer requirements and budgets.
- Attend design review meetings with clients and the sales team as required.
- Prepare and issue Design Approval packs for submission to the sales team.
- Ensure all designs are compliant with customer specifications, relevant standards, and project deadlines.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance in all designs.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members when needed.
- Manage project design changes and associated cost variations.
- Process purchase orders (POs) received from the sales team.
- Assist with new enquiries and ongoing projects, including design updates and revisions.
- Collaborate closely with sales, production, project control, site management, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure all drawings, pricing information, and documentation are current and accurate for quotations, working drawings, and project control.
Skills / Knowledge:
- Previous experience in kitchen design, estimating, or a similar technical design role.
- Proficiency with design and planner/CAD software.
- Experience interpreting architectural or kitchen drawings.
- Ability to design and cost projects within budget constraints.
- Understanding of kitchen planning, installation processes, and relevant legislation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience creating high volumes of plans efficiently with minimal need for revisions.
- Solid technical understanding of the kitchen or interior design industry.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
