Location: Winsford, Cheshire
Hours of Work: Monday–Friday 9:00am–5:00pm
Contract Type: Permanent
The Role: We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Executive to join a growing and ambitious business. This is a pivotal role focused on driving business growth through proactive customer engagement, relationship building, and identifying new sales opportunities. The role will involve a mixture of cold outreach, developing opportunities within existing accounts, and re‑engaging lapsed customers. Working from an existing CRM database, you will proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities while building long‑term customer relationships. An average week will typically involve a combination of external client visits and dedicated time for planning, prospecting, and outreach activity. You will arrange and attend customer meetings, present solutions, and work closely with internal teams to deliver an excellent customer experience throughout the sales process. You will be responsible for researching market trends and target sectors, preparing proposals and presentations, negotiating business opportunities, and maintaining accurate CRM records. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building rapport, having meaningful customer conversations, and playing a key role in the future growth of a business.
Experience / Skills Required:
- Previous experience within proactive B2B sales or business development
- Experience generating opportunities through cold outreach, account growth, or reactivation of lapsed customers
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Confident engaging with customers both over the phone and face‑to‑face
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own pipeline
- Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential
- Self‑motivated with a positive attitude and strong commercial awareness
