JDR Recruitment are looking for De-Bagging Machine Operators to work for a manufacturing company based in Trafford Park.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove plastic bottles/preforms from bulk bags accurately and efficiently
- Load items onto conveyors or designated feed points
- Ensure correct orientation and flow of products into the production process
- Prevent product damage or contamination during handling
Quality & Standards
- Visually inspect items for defects, contamination, or damage
- Segregate and report non‑conforming products
- Maintain food‑safe handling standards at all times
Production Support
- Work in line with production targets and line speeds
- Communicate effectively with machine operators and line leaders
- Assist with line changeovers, stock rotation, and material replenishment
Health, Safety & Hygiene
- Follow Müller health & safety procedures and site rules
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and clean‑as‑you‑go standards
- Wear required PPE and report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately
- Keep work area clean, tidy, and organised
- Assist with basic production records where required
Skills & Experience
- Ability to carry out repetitive manual tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work shift patterns
- Good understanding of workplace health & safety
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or food‑grade environments
- Previous experience in plastics or blow‑moulding operations
- Warehouse or production line experience
Shifts: Combination of 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am working on a 4 on 4 off shift basis. For the first 12 weeks the rate of pay will be £12.87 - £22.87 depending on the time of day, as there is an enhanced rate for weekends and after 6pm in the evenings. After 12 weeks the rate of pay will be £14.62 - £25.29 per hour depending on the time of day, as there is an enhanced rate for weekends and after 6pm in the evenings. Ongoing work that may lead to a permanent role for the right candidates who can follow a shift pattern.
