The role
As a Quality Inspector you will be working within a manufacturing environment, and your duties will be as followed:
- In-Process Inspection & Verification
- Carry out in process and final stage inspections.
- Verify operators are following correct work instructions.
- Check the calibration and condition status of jigs, gauges, Mylarsand other relevant inspection equipment.
- Quality records and traceability
- Ensure check sheets, route cards and inspection records are completed fully and accurately.
- Record inspection results and all quality data that has relevance.
- Check that work-in-progress and finished products are identified and traceable.
- Report any process or quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor or compliance manager.
- Product identification and packaging
- Check packaging, labels and part identification before products are released for dispatch.
- Always ensure that customer orders are correctly packed and labelled in accordance with internal and external requirements.
- Support with identifying and therefor segregating non-conforming materials.
- Quality Support
- Assist with sorting and containment activities where required.
- Support with investigation into any reoccurring quality issues by providing inspection and observations made.
- Continue to identify where quality improvements can be made and applying these changes.
- Highlight repeated products defects, operator training needs or documentation issues that may arise.
- Health, Safety and Housekeeping
- Ensuring that you’re always following company health and safety guidelines.
- Reporting any unsafe practices or conditions to management.
- Supporting with good housekeeping and always ensuring safe working practices.
About you
- As a Quality Inspectoryou will have the following skills and experience:
- Startimmediatelyand looking forpermanent work.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production or quality role.
- Ability to follow drawings, work instructions, specifications and inspection standards.
- Experience using inspection equipment.
- Good communication and record keeping skills.
- Comfortable with working closely with other teams to ensure efficient working.
- Formal training in ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949.
- Previous experience in automotive or a quality-controlled manufacturing environment.
- Experience using jigs, Mylars, gauges, calipers or checking fixtures.
- Previous experience of production sorting or containment duties.
