Salary: £35,777 per annum.

Shift: Monday - Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm, Friday 7:30am-12:30pm.

Immediate start. Permanent contract.

The Role: As a Maintenance Electrical Engineer you will be working within a manufacturing environment. Your primary responsibilities are the electrical maintenance and repair of all production equipment, machinery, and site plant to ensure continuous production and process improvement.

Duties:

  • Maintain machinery and equipment to an acceptable and safe standard to ensure that production targets and quality standards are continuously met.
  • Ensure the timely and acceptable installation of new machinery and equipment as required.
  • Adopt a pro-active approach to machinery maintenance and repair to continuously improve production efficiencies.
  • Conduct electrical maintenance and repair tasks as appropriate.
  • Conduct ancillary mechanical maintenance and repair tasks as appropriate.
  • Conduct Pre-Planned Maintenance (PPM) tasks as appropriate.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager and Production, Dispatch and Stores Teams to ensure awareness of anticipated downtime and reduced efficiencies.
  • Complete relevant engineering and production paperwork as required.
  • Record all machinery breakdowns accurately in the computerised maintenance software system.
  • Communicate with other engineering team members to ensure a smooth handover at shift changes or to provide awareness of maintenance activity.
  • Perform work with due consideration to health and safety for oneself and others.
  • Support the training of new starters or apprentices to ensure they reach an acceptable standard within a set timeframe.
