JDR Recruitment are recruiting for an Estimator & Business Development Manager on behalf of our client, a growing and well‑established business based in Nottingham.
Salary: GBP45,000 – GBP50,000 per annum, depending on experience. Permanent role, hybrid & flexible working available.
Location: Nottingham.
Duties will include:
- Managing and developing existing client relationships
- Building new opportunities through positive customer experience and proactive account management
- Managing and organising incoming client enquiries
- Preparing detailed estimates and take‑offs from architects’ drawings
- Assessing specifications with a strong focus on compliance and project requirements
- Using estimating software to accurately input scope of works, labour times, and costing data
- Obtaining supporting prices, technical data sheets, and performance calculations for tender submissions
- Producing detailed and compliant written estimates
- Managing large contract enquiries and orders from initial enquiry through to project handover
- Leading internal handover meetings with design, production, and contracts teams once projects are secured
- Supporting business growth through strong communication and relationship building
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience within an estimating role
- Strong account management and business development skills
- Experience managing larger contract values would be advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication and relationship‑building ability
- Commercial awareness and customer‑focused mindset
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within a fast‑paced environment

Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
