We are looking for a proactive and customer‑focused Recycling Adviser to join our Household Waste Recycling Centre team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, engaging with the public, and contributing to environmental sustainability in their local community.
As a Recycling Adviser, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant day‑to‑day operation of our household waste recycling site. You’ll help customers correctly dispose of waste, maintain a clean and safe environment, and support the wider team in delivering excellent service standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Advising members of the public on the correct disposal and segregation of waste
- Assisting with the smooth day‑to‑day running of the recycling centre
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all visitors and staff on site
- Checking vehicle eligibility and collecting permits where required
- Maintaining site cleanliness, tidiness, and operational readiness
- Carrying out routine site inspections and reporting safety concerns
- Reconciling monetary transactions accurately
- Operating mobile plant in line with training and safety procedures
- Supporting the team to achieve operational and environmental targets
- Ensuring all company policies and health & safety procedures are followed at all times
