Part-Time Cleaner with DBS check
Location: Leigh, WN7
Working Hours: 6:30am - 8:30am Monday - Friday
Salary: GBP12.71 per hour
Job Purpose: To ensure the school premises are clean, safe, and hygienic, supporting a healthy environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, and communal areas
- Vacuum carpets and mop floors
- Clean and disinfect toilets and washrooms
- Empty bins and remove waste safely
- Wipe desks, chairs, and high-touch surfaces
- Clean dining areas, halls, and staff rooms
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls
- Lock/unlock areas as required (depending on shift)
- Report any damage, hazards, or maintenance issues
Person Specification:
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Ability to work independently
- Understanding of basic cleaning procedures and hygiene standards
- Physically capable of carrying out cleaning duties
- Previous cleaning experience (preferably in a school or similar setting)
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations
- Flexible approach to working hours
