Part-Time Cleaner with DBS check

Location: Leigh, WN7

Working Hours: 6:30am - 8:30am Monday - Friday

Salary: GBP12.71 per hour

Job Purpose: To ensure the school premises are clean, safe, and hygienic, supporting a healthy environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, and communal areas
  • Vacuum carpets and mop floors
  • Clean and disinfect toilets and washrooms
  • Empty bins and remove waste safely
  • Wipe desks, chairs, and high-touch surfaces
  • Clean dining areas, halls, and staff rooms
  • Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls
  • Lock/unlock areas as required (depending on shift)
  • Report any damage, hazards, or maintenance issues

Person Specification:

  • Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
  • Ability to work independently
  • Understanding of basic cleaning procedures and hygiene standards
  • Physically capable of carrying out cleaning duties
  • Previous cleaning experience (preferably in a school or similar setting)
