We are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our client’s team based in Haverfordwest.
Salary: GBP14.5 - GBP16.25 per hour, plus nights out available if tramping.
The role
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you’ll be responsible for operating an HGV Class 1 lorry doing straightforward yard‑to‑yard work. The number of drops will depend on traffic and waiting time. Work typically involves yard to yard, collection, tip and back to yard, possibly twice.
Shift: TBA but day work between 0400‑0600 starts, average 11‑hour days. Immediate start. Ongoing throughout summer with some permanent opportunities available.
Key responsibilities
- Driving and operating an HGV Class 1 Lorry in line with safety standards
- Carrying out site collections and trips to Cardiff and back to West Wales
- Operating bulk tipper or walking floor trailers
- Ensuring vehicle checks are completed daily
- Maintaining a professional and customer‑focused approach
About you
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Licence held for a minimum of 24 months
- Previous bulk tipping or walking floor experience required
- Strong focus on safety and customer service
