Our client, based in Thorne, near Doncaster, are looking for a Production Planning Administrator to help keep their production running smoothly and efficiently.

The Role

As a Production Planning Administrator, you’ll play a key part in ensuring that customer orders are scheduled accurately and efficiently, while keeping our machines running at their best. You’ll juggle deadlines, machine capabilities, stock levels, and changing priorities — all while staying composed and focused. This is a fast-paced, problem-solving role where resilience and a steady head make all the difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effective Scheduling & Planning
    • Create and manage daily and weekly production plans.
    • Ensure jobs are sequenced correctly for efficiency, quality, and minimal downtime.
    • Work closely with production, sales, and customer service teams to adapt plans as priorities shift.
  • Customer Service & Delivery Performance
    • Monitor order progress and support high service levels.
    • Flag issues early and help keep communication clear and proactive.
