JDR Recruitment are currently looking for reliable and hard-working Production Operators to join our client's busy manufacturing team based in Pontypool. This is an excellent opportunity for long-term, full-time work with the potential to become permanent.
The Role
As a Production Operator, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day manufacturing process, supporting the production team to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating production machinery and equipment safely
- Assisting with the assembly and finishing of manufactured products
- Loading and unloading materials
- General labouring duties within the production and workshop areas
- Carrying out basic quality checks
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Following health & safety procedures at all times
- Supporting other production and site tasks as required
This role is hands-on and physically demanding, requiring good manual handling ability and a strong work ethic.
About You
- Must have previous labourer experience
- Has experience in a production, manufacturing, or construction environment (preferred but not essential)
- Is reliable, punctual, and has a positive attitude
- Works well as part of a team and can follow instructions
- Takes pride in maintaining a safe and tidy workspace
- Has their own PPE (safety boots, hi-vis, gloves, etc.)
- Has access to transport due to the site location
